In The Snow Mac OS

To install Windows, you first install the Mac OS. Then run the Bootcamp Assistant in the Mac OS Utilities folder. Then following the prompts you install your Windows OS. At the moment the DVD Installation that comes with mac isn't with me, it's in my sister home.
This is why I bought the snow Leopard in the apple store.
I just bought the mac os x snow leopard and I am trying to make a clean installation .. but i Can't!

With the dvd inserted, when I turn on the mac I press the Alt key and appears the MAC OS X Install DVD.The next step should be the language setup,but it isn't. Appears this error:
You need to restart your computer.Hold down the Power button until it turns off,then press the power button again.
